What is a retreat anyway?

A retreat literally means, “Retreating yourself. During a retreat, you withdraw yourself, along with a group, from your daily environment by going to a special place. To a greater or lesser extent, there is always a program done is group work for personal growth, insight and perspective. Essential to this is the feeling of being in “a safe bubble,” or “What happens on Bonaire, stays on Bonaire. To achieve this, we try to create a serene quiet atmosphere with as few stimuli as possible. Therefore, there are certain house rules that we ask you to observe.
